More than
an emailed invoice.

Sending a PDF by email is not fiscalisation. MRA eInvoicing involves transmitting transaction data to MRA and receiving fiscal identifiers for the document.

MRA describes real-time fiscalisation before issue to the customer. The billing software used for this process is referred to as an Electronic Billing System (EBS).

IRN and QR code

The Invoice Registration Number (IRN) identifies the fiscalised document. The QR code enables verification through MRA.

  • These form part of the fiscalisation response
  • The billing system records the IRN
  • The QR code appears on the customer document

Two approaches.
Different business needs.

Sigma ERP is the integrated business platform. Sigma Invoicing is a small application for companies that only need invoicing and fiscalisation alongside their existing accounting software.

Integrated in Sigma ERP

eInvoicing connected to your business

Manage invoicing and MRA fiscalisation alongside the financial and operational modules implemented for your business.

  • Connected operational and financial workflows
  • Customer accounts, collections and financial reporting
  • Stock, people and industry modules to suit your needs

For businesses using Sigma ERP to connect invoicing with their wider operations and financial management.

Keeping your existing accounting software?

Sigma Invoicing

A small web SaaS application for businesses whose accounting software does not support MRA eInvoicing.

  • Maintain a customer list
  • Create and fiscalise invoices and credit notes
  • Print or email invoices and credit notes

Scope: invoicing and credit notes only. No accounting, inventory, invoice reports or customer statements. Your existing accounting software remains separate.

Prepare your business
for eInvoicing

Choosing software is one part of the process. Review your requirements and agree how the solution will be configured and introduced.

1. Review your requirements

Discuss the billing process you use today and the functions you need.

  • Review any MRA notification received
  • Decide between integrated ERP and focused invoicing
  • Identify the team issuing invoices and credit notes

2. Prepare your setup

Gather the business and invoicing details needed for configuration.

  • Confirm company and customer details
  • Review invoice and credit note requirements
  • Agree how information will reach your accounts

3. Plan testing and use

Agree the setup, training and implementation scope with our team.

  • Review the applicable onboarding steps
  • Test your invoicing workflow
  • Prepare users before live use

MRA requires economic operators to register, complete the prescribed tests and onboard their EBS before using it for fiscal invoices. Successful EBS registration generates an EBS MRA ID. Discuss the assistance included in your Sigma setup with our team.

Check the requirements
that apply to your business

MRA is implementing mandatory eInvoicing in stages. A written MRA notification can require compliance irrespective of turnover or VAT registration status. Check your notification and current MRA guidance for your applicable date.

Review your current setup

Use the requirements discussion to identify practical changes.

  • Which software issues your invoices today?
  • Do you need full ERP or only fiscalised documents?
  • How will your team record information in your accounts?
  • Who will manage configuration, testing and user preparation?

Your eInvoicing questions

Which Sigma option should we choose?

Choose Sigma ERP when you need connected accounting and business operations. Consider Sigma Invoicing if you want to keep existing accounting software and only need customer records, fiscalised invoices and credit notes, printing and emailing.

Does Sigma Invoicing replace accounting software?

No. It does not provide accounting, inventory, invoice reports or customer statements. Your existing accounting software remains separate; automatic integration is not included in its stated scope.

Are credit notes part of fiscalisation?

Yes. MRA functional specifications include credit notes. Both Sigma options described here support fiscalised invoices and credit notes.

Do we need business onboarding as well as suitable software?

Yes. Software readiness and business onboarding are separate parts of introducing fiscalised invoicing. Review the MRA process and agree your setup responsibilities with our team.

Can we continue with our existing accounting system?

Sigma Invoicing is intended for that situation. You use it for customer records and fiscalised invoices and credit notes, while continuing financial administration in your existing accounting system.
